As we age, we lose hyaluronic acid (HA). The loss of HA results in skin wrinkles and folds around the mouth.

Juvederm is an injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid. It is soft and natural feeling. It is great to fill out acne scars, forehead furrows, as well as creases around the mouth and cheeks. A 15 minute office procedure is typical for most patients. They can return to work or go out after the injections. Side effects include temporary redness, bruise, or lumpiness. Although the manufacturer claims it lasts up to one year, we believe it lasts up to 3 months. The results are immediate.
