The 3 Best Procedures to Combine With Your Facelift, According to Cosmetic Surgeons

A facelift addresses signs of aging in the mid-face and jawline regions, and if you’d like to see improvement here, chances are other areas of the face and neck would also benefit from the same level of rejuvenation!

Combined procedures can lead to more significant, beautifully natural-looking facelift results for many patients. Here, we share three procedures we may recommend combining with your facelift.

Neck lift

A neck lift, or submentoplasty, focuses on tightening sagging skin and removing excess fat in the neck area, as well as tightening the platysma muscle to define the jawline better. This is by far the most common procedure that we combine with a facelift. A neck lift addresses issues that a facelift alone may not fully correct, such as a “turkey neck,” “double chin,” and prominent neck bands. Adding a neck lift naturally extends the benefits of a facelift to all areas of the neck, creating a seamless, youthful contour from the face to the chest.

A facelift with a neck lift ensures that any excess, sagging skin is addressed in not just the face, but the neck as well.

Brow lift

A brow lift repositions the brow to rest higher on the forehead, reducing the appearance of deep forehead wrinkles and sagging brows that contribute to a tired, aged, or angry look. We offer several different brow lift techniques, with the pretrichial brow lift being one of the most common. This technique is especially beneficial for patients with high foreheads as the procedure reduces the distance from the brow to the hairline. Adding a brow lift to your facelift surgery plan addresses concerns in the upper face, balancing the rejuvenating effects a facelift has from the cheek area down to the neck.

Eyelid lift

The eyes are the windows into the soul, but excess skin and fat deposits can obscure this primary focal point of the face. Once the mid-face is smooth and firm after your facelift, failing to address sagging skin, bags, and wrinkles around the eyes will make these conditions more obvious. So, depending on your anatomy, we may recommend you add eyelid surgery to your surgery plan.

Adding an eyelid lift to your surgery plan can result in an even more rejuvenated facial appearance than just a facelift alone.

Upper blepharoplasty

An upper blepharoplasty addresses sagging or “hooded” upper eyelids by removing excess skin and fat to open the eye area and shape firmer eyelid contours—much like a facelift achieves in the mid-face. For some patients, an upper eyelid lift can also correct vision obstruction caused by overhanging skin.

Lower blepharoplasty

Lower blepharoplasty targets under-eye bags and wrinkles by removing or repositioning excess fat and tightening the skin. Performed along with a facelift, a lower eyelid lift creates a smooth transition from the delicate under-eye area to the rejuvenated cheek area.

We prioritize safety, quality of care, and patient satisfaction above all. Our surgeons are known for achieving a natural look—not different, but better.

Benefits of combination procedures

In addition to experiencing a more significant, comprehensive transformation, combining cosmetic procedures into one surgery offers several other benefits:

  • Reduced recovery time: Less overall downtime compared to having multiple separate procedures, so you can return to your usual daily activities fast, without interruptions
  • Single anesthesia: Minimizes the risks associated with undergoing anesthesia multiple times
  • Cost-effectiveness: Paying certain fixed costs, like hospital or facility fees and anesthesia fees, only once

Rejuvenating the dynamic and delicate areas of the face requires the most advanced surgical skills and a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology to achieve results that appear natural and preserve the aspects of your appearance that are unique to you.
